Places to Travel recently published a list of the 17 best hot springs to visit in the U.S. and two Colorado spots made the cut to be included.

Steamboat Springs' Strawberry Park Hot Springs was one of the spots featured on the list. Nestled in the Rocky Mountains, this hot springs is renowned for its therapeutic and mineral-rich waters. According to Places to Travel, the pools are funneled into various manmade pools with slabs of rock separating them by temperature. This destination is a favorite among those who love rugged, natural vibes.

Strawberry Park also offers various seating areas and a changing area with a coal fire stove. With a little planning ahead, you can even stay the night in one of their unique lodging options, which include rustic cabins, the train caboose, and covered wagons. The hot springs also offers tent and vehicle campsites.

The Places to Travel list also highlighted Pagosa Hot Springs. Located against the backdrop of the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado, this resort is home to what's said to be the deepest natural hot spring source pool in the world. The 'Mother Spring' feeds 25 individual pools, which include a range of different temperatures and sizes that suit whatever guests are looking for. As well as the hot springs, this Pagosa spot includes a resort and spa, complete with a wellness studio, classes, and treatments.
