According to a recent report from the publication Easy Coops, Highlands in Denver is Colorado's "top urban haven."

The researchers ran an online survey of 3,000 adults based on age, gender, and geography, to determine each state's top urban haven – places "that blend city convenience with rural tranquility." They used a two-step process to ensure representatives through "stratified sampling and post-stratification weighting."

The nationwide survey found that 87% of urban-dweller respondents value fresh produce, 71% value access to outdoor spaces. 47% are willing to pay premium for organic, and 29% seek tranquility and nature. In Colorado, it was determined that Highlands fit the bill when it came to providing the right blend of big city amenities and small town perks.

While Highlands is a bustling part of the Mile High City, its residential setting complete with old homes, numerous restaurants, and jogging paths adds a layer of calmness and comfort to the experience of living in this part of the Denver metro area.

The report also states that the findings "point to a redefined urban lifestyle that incorporates elements traditionally associated with rural living." The report goes on to explain that these findings suggest an impact on "urban development strategies, housing market trends, and community planning efforts aimed at fostering environments that cater to these evolving preferences."
