ENGLEWOOD -- Linebacker Keith Burns didn’t participate in the early part of practice on Thursday, and the Denver Broncos’ special-teams captain is still questionable to play on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Burns sprained the medial collateral ligament and stretched the posterior collateral ligament in his right knee against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. He did not practice on Wednesday. “I’m just taking it day-by-day and take it from there,” Burns said. “The more you can do the better chance you have.” Burns leads the Broncos with 15 special-teams tackles, and if he misses Sunday’s game it would be bad timing for Denver. Chiefs punt and kickoff returner Dante Hall has two return touchdowns against the Broncos the past two years and is the best returner in the NFL. “I got a rabbit to chase,” Burns said.
