ENGLEWOOD - Denver Broncos running back Ron Dayne isn’t too excited about his return to New York this week. Dayne, who spent five disappointing seasons with the Giants, will play against his former team this Sunday at Giants Stadium. He isn’t expecting a warm reception. “It doesn't really matter but they'll probably boo,” Dayne said. Dayne was New York’s first-round pick in 2000 and was ripped by the New York media and fans after he never lived up to expectations. He hasn’t played much with the Broncos, either. He is stuck behind Mike Anderson and Tatum Bell on the depth chart and he has played sparingly on special teams. “They're both playing well, Tatum and Mike,” Dayne said. “I’m just there whenever they need me.” CONTACT THE WRITER: 476-4891 or email@example.com.
